JOSE MOURINHO’S first act as Manchester United boss could be to snap up Danny Welbeck, according to Ladbrokes.
The former Red Devils youngster was sold to Arsenal in 2014, but new boss Mourinho is believed to be a fan, meaning the odds of Welbeck returning home to Old Trafford have tumbled from 8/1 to 3/1. Another reported target is keeper Kasper Schmeichel, and with David De Gea likely to exit, the Foxes stopper has dropped from 6/1 to 4/1 to follow in his father’s footsteps. Both men could well link up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford, with Ladbrokes suspending betting on the Swede’s move to Manchester on Monday. And with a slew of new names set to arrive at the Theatre of Dreams this summer, it’s 11/10 that Jose tastes silverware in his first season while 13/2 says he leads United to Premier League glory in 2016-17. Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “Expect to see an overhaul of the Old Trafford squad now Jose’s in town. The betting suggests there's a good chance Welbeck will return home to join Mourinho’s Man United revolution.” Ladbrokes Latest Odds: Danny Welbeck – Club by end of Summer 2016 transfer window Manchester United – 3/1 Kasper Schmeichel – Club by end of Summer 2016 transfer window Manchester United – 4/1 Jose Mourinho – First Press Conference as Man United manager To take place by the end of May - 10/11 To take place between 1st June - start of Euro 2016 - 6/4 Not to take place until start of 2016-17 season - 5/1 To take place tomorrow - 10/1 To take place today - 50/1 Jose Mourinho – 2016-17 Specials: Manchester United to finish in the Premier League top four - 2016-17 – 1/2 Manchester United not to win a trophy in 2016-17 - 4/6 Manchester United to win a trophy in 2016-17 - 11/10 Manchester United not to lose a home Premier League game in 2016-17 - 9/2 Jose Mourinho to leave Manchester United before the end of the season 5/1 Jose Mourinho to win 2016-17 Premier League as Manchester United manager 13/2 Jose Mourinho at Manchester United Specials: To win the Premier League anytime with Manchester United 2/1 Jose Mourinho to sign any current Chelsea player as Manchester United manager 5/2 To win the Champions League anytime with Manchester United 10/1 To win the Treble anytime with Manchester United 50/1 Who will finish higher next season – Chelsea or Manchester United?: Chelsea 4/6 Manchester United 11/10 Who will finish higher next season – Manchester City or Manchester United?: Manchester City 4/7 Manchester United 5/4 Comments are closed.
